THE BRAVE abseiling efforts of a team of daredevil fundraisers has collected nearly £10,000 to support firefighters and their families.

A total of 32 people plucked up the courage to descend 300ft from the top of the Spinnaker Tower to raise vital money for the Firefighters Charity.

Kerry James, from the charity, said: “It was a brilliant day, the sun was shining and the 32 brave volunteers were fantastic.”

Oh here we go again, if they are not moaning about people keeping them employed by starting fires in bottle banks, then they are out in the sun shine messing about ?
If the fire brigade want to raise money, then I suggest they E-bay some of the items that they remove from warehouse fires just before the Police turn up !
