A GLASS artist in Bishop's Waltham is opening up her studio to the public.

Lara Duncan is hoping residents will take up her offer when she opens her door to give people an insight into her work.

Lara, from Bishop’s Waltham, creates glass designs by fusing transparent and opaque sheet glass into jewellery, panels, sun catchers and other items.

Her business – Poppyfield Design – is run from Lara’s home in Hamble Springs and started off as a hobby and grew from there.

She will be taking part in the Hampshire Open Studios event this month and will explain what she does, show residents around and possibly demonstrate her skills.

Residents can turn up any time at 9 Hamble Springs between 10.30am and 7.30pm on August 16 and 17 and August 21-25.
