POLICE have carried out a drugs raid at an industrial unit this morning.

The incident took place at Millstream Industrial Estate off Christchurch Road, Ringwood.

The police helicopter is hovering over Ringwood at the moment helping officers deal with the ongoing incident.

Daily Echo:

A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said the helicopter is assisting officers with the execution of a ‘routine drugs warrant’.

Debbie Bundy, director at Callvan Hire on Christchurch Road, said she saw the police breaking down the door of the factory and that a man was being chased by police.

“It looked like he was going to jump off the roof but officers surrounded him and took him away.
“I saw sniffer dogs and there are still lots of police here.”

A police spokesperson said: “We cannot release any more details at this time for operational reasons.”

One member of the public on Twitter said: "Police in the car park in Ringwood. Action packed morning with reports of people on the roof of building opposite!"
